                                                   Retreat Overview

                                                                         Friday, August 22-Monday, August 24, 2014

Amen Amakhu Life Institute was established to educate, promote and further the health and wellness of the human family. To this end, we have continuously reached out to under-served communities where ever our members reside. The “Inner Light Family Retreat” is one of several initiatives that we embrace to serve as a vehicle to disseminate knowledge to those who are receptive to living a better quality of health for themselves and their family. The fundamental concept is based on holistic well being (principles of Maat) with the intended outcome of preventing degeneration of the individual and families in spirit, mind and body. The organization became a non-profit 501c3 in 2005 to further the human family.

The “Inner Light Family Retreat” will provide workshops/seminars on Yoga, Meditation, Holistic Health, Chakra Healing, Pranayama, Kemetic Culture, Massage Therapy, African Dance, Post Traumatic , Food growing and preparation as well as other recreational activities’. Retreaters will enjoy the beauty of 180 plus acres of earthly beauty and retire in a western bungalow cabin which further enhances the feeling of one family. The retreat is intended to be a teaching/learning/empowerment event which allows for questions and answers and nurtures attendees in the belief that they have the knowledge necessary for self-help /actualization and change.

Children and teens are welcomed to participate. Recreation and special activities will be provided for them in this vast outdoors. We ask that everyone come with an open mind and a willing heart to participate in this very special retreat. Workshops will be taught by professionals in many of the fields and members with decades of practice in various holistic pathways.

Meals will be prepared by adults in teams so that retreaters will have hands on knowledge of how to prepare vegan cuisine with mostly organic, non-GMO, pesticide free fruit, vegetables and grains. Two meals will be provided on Saturday and Sunday, with 1 meal on Friday after arrival and on Monday breakfast will be served prior to the 1pm departure time as per campground officials.

We look forward to seeing you as we embark on this journey in Oklahoma to embrace, learn, and grow in new ways.

Peace & Blessings!
